Scott Lewis Joins WYMeditor Dev Team

Richmond, VA Feb 06, 2007

Scott Lewis, a web developer and partner with Bright-Crayon, LLC has been selected as the newest member of the WYMeditor development team. WYMeditor is an open source WYSIWYM, web-based HTML editor. Scott will be handling Safari compatibility development for WYMeditor.

"I approached Jean-Francois Hovinne, the lead developer, about joining the team because I think WYMeditor is what a browser-based HTML editor should be. It lacks the bloat of a lot of the popular WYSIWYG editors and is focused on structure, not style, which is the way it should be", says Scott.

WYMeditor can be downloaded at http://www.wymeditor.org. An online demo is also available at the web site.

WYMeditor's main concept is to leave the details of the document's visual layout to the style sheets, and to concentrate on its structure and meaning, while being as user-friendly and intuitive as possible. WYMeditor has been created to generate perfectly structured XHTML strict code, to conform to the W3C XHTML specifications and to facilitate further processing by modern applications.
